David David David David Banner
Accompanied by Brooklyn's own, Maino, and not-so-surprise guest Young Joc, Mr. Banner ripped the stage last night at the Knitting Factory, and despite my late arrival I had the pleasure to catch the end of a very shirtless, and sweaty performance. Banner blessed us with high-octane rock renditions of "Like a Pimp" and "Suicide Doors." (I know it sounds nuts!) The freshly razed rapper was also bent on convincing us that this Mississippi boy could rap, spitting a cappella to let his bars really sink in (and then saying " Don't listen to anyone who says David Banner can't rap!") He then proceeded to make it rain Moet on the crowd, and did a very personal walk through of the crowd enabling some of us to sneak dubs. The verdict? Twas a good night.

Welcome back Ms. Misick
Since our April Cherry Blossoms show, Ms. Kathy Misick has been back in the lab crafting up her fall collection, which is amazing. The collection boasts sexy dresses, exquisitely designed jackets, and ultra-flattering trousers. Don't take it from me though, check out her line for yourself. Purchase something...you need it in your life!

BEEN AROUND THE WORLD...
So this had to be one of my best/most productive weekend ever, despite the inclusion of some seriously seriously tedious and redundant work, which actually induced one of the best conversations I've ever had. Ok I'll get to the point...so one of the parts of the convo that stood out to me was my friend's very passionate Wyclef rant on his lack of recognition, and the fact that his asshole personality actually eclipses his talent (true). Anywho's he popped in Carnival 2: Memoirs of an Immigrant, and I was taken for a trek around the world. I know this album passe, but I was so blown away by the product, I simply had to spread the word. From Sizzla rapping over Minister Farrakhan's violin, to "Touch Your Button Carnival Jam" which he manages to take in a staggering 6 different directions ( i had to keep checking if it was the same song), to even having Paul Simon on a track. We were left with just one question..."Wyclef what's on your Ipod?" So put the hate aside and check the album out. Thanks for the tutorial Sparks!
